Hatch Realty’s main purpose is to help people. The obvious way they do this is through helping individuals buy and sell their homes. However, Hatch also reaches out to the community so that their abundance can impact those in need.

They partner with local charities during company events to engage clients and to better educate them about services the nonprofits provide. The Hatch team also volunteers at the Dorothy Day Food Pantry in Moorhead every month.

Hatch Realty gives back with every home purchase and sale as well by donating to Sell A Home, Save A Child, a nonprofit co-started by Hatch Realty’s founder, Erik Hatch. The nonprofit supports poor and vulnerable children around the world.

A partner with a pizza

The Hatch team has been a Giving Hearts Day partner for the last two years. They saw the partnership as a way to increase their impact on the community and to inspire others to become a Giving Heart. The day also aligns with their core values of faith, family, and community.

For the past four years, Hatch has hosted an event called Date Night. Community members RSVP and then stop into Hatch Realty on Giving Hearts Day to receive the date night package. The package includes a pizza and a beverage. Sponsorships and supplies come from a host of FM-area businesses including Drekker Brewing Co.Costco WholesaleNordic Home InspectionGreat North Insurance Services, and Home Warranty of America

Community members also have the option to donate to Giving Hearts Day when they pick up their date night package. Those who donate go into a drawing and have the chance for Hatch Realty to make a donation on their behalf. Hatch also pairs with the Ronald McDonald House to host Giving Hearts Day donation stations.

Sporting swag to support Giving Hearts Day

Before and on Giving Hearts Day, Hatch employees sported Giving Hearts Day scarves and decorated their office with #countme signs. They also took to their Instagram and Facebook accounts to promote the day.

Connecting with clients and community

The Hatch team looks forward to Giving Hearts Day because it gives them an opportunity to connect with their clients in a new way. They get to see which nonprofits their clients are passionate about which isn’t something they typically have the chance to do. Giving Hearts Day also provides a great opportunity to give back which is something Hatch Realty strongly believes in.

“I absolutely love it” said Kim Lauf, Event Coordinator and Office Assistant for Hatch Realty.

“The program is absolutely incredible, and the matching funds are awesome.”

This year, Hatch Realty had 100% participation from their team as well as the team from Abovo, a marketing and events company started by Erik Hatch and Andrew Young.

Path to Impact

Hatch Realty focuses on helping others, and they believe in teamwork and high goals for themselves.

This is why they want to make their Date Night and other Giving Hearts Day efforts bigger and better.

Stay tuned for another business story next week, and remember to live with purpose!

Together, we can become the most generous region on the planet.
