Catalyst Medical Center and Clinical Spa has a mission is to help people live healthier, happier, and more beautiful lives.

As a patient-centric healthcare facility, care is of high value for Catalyst, not only through their everyday practice but as enthusiastic stewards of our community. Catalyst employees care for clients in a sustainable, holistic way, empowering and educating them to make sure their clients have what they need to look and feel confident.

A reason for giving back

Catalyst’s focus on giving is inspired by their founder, Dr. Susan M. Mathison.

Dr. Mathison’s involvement in the Fargo-Moorhead community has directly impacted Catalyst, fostering a give-back culture for her team.

“Our team’s love for giving is truly a reflection of Dr. Mathison’s generous and dedicated spirit,” says Karisa Meyer, Marketing Coordinator.

As a result of this drive for community engagement, Catalyst has been involved with Giving Hearts Day for several years.

“We love to give back to the community. Catalyst is involved in the community in so many ways, and this day truly shows it,” says Karisa.

Purpose to impact

Catalyst participates in Giving Hearts Day by coming together for a bigger purpose. Prior to Giving Hearts Day, the Catalyst team challenged employees to select charities to which they’d like to make a donation.

Then in preparation for Giving Hearts Day, Catalyst posted photos and descriptions of the team members with their chosen nonprofit(s) on social media. By sharing stories of their own giving, Catalyst inspired a give-back mentality in others and brought increased awareness to nonprofits in our community.

Celebrating in style

On Giving Hearts Day, the Catalyst team wore bright red Giving Hearts Day shirts and encouraged patients to make donations. Catalyst offered several incentives and opportunities for giving through purchases that day and featured a heart-sticker covered truck in front of their building to motivate anyone passing by.

Karisa said that Catalyst had close to 100 percent employee participation and in a spirit of true generosity, Dr. Mathison matched all employee donations.

A new opportunity

Looking forward to Giving Hearts Day 2019, Karisa believes Catalyst is as excited as ever.

“We will rally our employees to get involved and share our stories with the community,” says Karisa.

Stay tuned for another business story next week, and remember to live with purpose!
