J. Patrick Traynor, J.D.
President
pattraynor@dakmed.org
Pat plans, supervises, and directs Foundation operations under the general direction of the board of directors utilizing the Carver Model of Board Governance. He serves as an ex-officio, non-voting member of the Dakota Medical Foundation board of directors. Pat joined the Foundation in May, 2000, and previously served as the executive director and CEO of the North Dakota Workers Compensation Bureau and prior to that, practiced law in Fargo, N.D.

David Gibb
Director of Finance
davidgibb@dakmed.org
David is responsible for the Foundation’s finance and accounting functions. He provides support to the board of directors and management for investment functions. David joined the Foundation in October, 2002.

Jennifer Thompson, J.D.
Director of Development

Jennifer is responsible for the Foundation's match, donor advised, and Helping Hand grant programs. She also writes grants and coordinates the Foundation's fundraising efforts. As part of her assignment, she designs and implements effective match grants marketing and communications plans and develops new grant partnerships. Additionally, Jennifer trains and supports other grantwriters. Jennifer joined the Foundation in November, 2002.

Deb Watne
Grants Director

Deb manages the Foundation's initiative, responsive, match and scholarship grant programs. She is responsible for grant investigation, grant management, performance monitoring and outcome evaluation. In addition, Deb manages the Foundation’s website and develops the annual report. Deb joined the Foundation in October, 1995.

Monique Andresen
Accountant

Monique is responsible for the day-to-day accounting responsibilities through the preparation of the financial statements for the Foundation and is involved in the budgeting process along with other assigned financial duties. Monique joined the Foundation in June, 2008.

Cindy Eggl
Executive Assistant

Cindy provides support to the president, board of directors, committees, members, initiatives, special projects/events, and donor services. She is responsible for the daily operation of the Foundation's office and oversees information services. Cindy joined the Foundation in March, 1999.

Kim Palm
Grants Assistant
kimpalm@dakmed.org
Kim is the Foundation’s initial point of community contact. She provides support to the responsive, initiative, match, donor advised, and scholarship grantmaking programs as well as various committees. Kim also provides administrative support to the Alex Stern Family Foundation and is responsible for the coordination of website revisions. Kim joined the Foundation in July, 2001.

Jeana Peinovich
Lend A Hand Program Director

Jeana is responsible for the development and implementation of Dakota Medical Foundation’s Lend A Hand Program. The goal of this program, launched in February 2008, is to provide assistance to individuals experiencing financial hardship due to catastrophic medical circumstances. Project strategies include the expansion of resources to include a fundraising toolkit, online giving tools, and match funding opportunities that expand the success of volunteer-led fundraising efforts.

Prior to launching the Lend A Hand program, Jeana was employed at Dakota Medical Foundation as the Outreach Coordinator for the 4-year statewide Covering Kids & Families Initiative. Jeana joined the Foundation in January, 2003.

Rory Beil
Cass Clay Healthy People Initiative Director

Rory heads up the Foundation’s new initiative to promote healthy eating and active living to reduce the incidence of chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. Rory has a background in exercise and sports science and joined the Foundation in January, 2009.

Jessica Lee
North Dakota Healthy Steps Program Outreach Manager

Jessica serves as the statewide project manager of the North Dakota Healthy Steps Program outreach campaign. North Dakota Healthy Steps is a federal and state funded assistance program that provides comprehensive health care coverage to eligible low-income children birth to age 19. Jessica is responsible for coordinating the annual back to school campaign, cover the uninsured week, stakeholder meetings, events and conferences. The purpose of the outreach campaign is to connect uninsured eligible children with a health insurance program. Jessica joined the Foundation in August, 2009.
