DMF has invested nearly $600,000 in nonprofit organizational assessments, strategic planning, and fundraising consulting services. Impact Foundation’s Institute for Innovation and Effectiveness assists DMF by providing technical assistance to nonprofits and governmental organizations to improve their outcomes. Through this initiative, the Foundation is building the capacity of health-related nonprofits to capture the tremendous charitable resources available from private donors.
Progress:
DMF provided grants to 25 area nonprofits to participate in the Impact Institute fundraising consulting services; a total of 43 nonprofits have participated in the fundraising program to-date.
32 nonprofits have participated in organizational assessment/strategic planning consulting services.
All participating nonprofits are in various stages of fundraising and strategic planning.
A formal evaluation to determine the initiative’s effectiveness is being conducted on an annual basis.
