RESPONSIVE GRANTS

Responsive grants are community-initiated grant requests to the Foundation. The Foundation considers proposals that provide innovative, measurable solutions to proven health needs and gives preference to proposals that seek to improve access to medical care or dental care services, especially for children.

PROCESS/HOW TO APPLY

Letter of Intent Stage:
  1. Potential applicants may call the Foundation to discuss their proposed project or complete the eligibility questionnaire. If the proposed project fits within the Foundation's mission and current interests, the applicant will be invited to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) by the submission deadline (Grant Round Schedule).

  2. Applicants will be notified of the status of their proposal approximately 30 days after the submission deadline.

  3. Letters of Intent that best meet the Foundation's mission and current interests proceed to the grant application stage.

Grant Application Stage:
  1. Applicants are given approximately one month to complete the grant application.

  2. The Grant Application Tutorial is available to guide applicants through the application process.

  3. Grant applications received by the submission deadline undergo a thorough investigation by Foundation staff, grants committee members, and, if necessary, other health experts.

  4. The Foundation's grants committee meets to make decisions and/or recommendations for grant funding.

  5. Applicants are notified of their grant status approximately six weeks after the application submission deadline.
