2011 DMF GHD
DMF sponsored its 4th annual Giving Hearts Day for one day only on Thursday, February 10th!
2011 was another record-breaking year for the DMF Giving Hearts Day 24-hour online fundraising event! We are proud to announce that more than $1.1 million was raised through over 7,000 online donations made to 100 charitable causes. This was nearly a 40% increase in dollars raised from 2010 and a 25% increase in the total number of individual donations! DMF provided an additional $322,000 in match and incentive funding, and other community donors provided $69,675 in matching funds. Since 2008 over $3 million has been raised on Giving Hearts Day through www.impactgiveback.org.

2011 GIVING HEARTS DAY PARTICIPANTS
Each health-related DMF-match participant was eligible to receive up to $4,000 in funding and additional awards of $20,000, $15,000, $10,000, $7,500, $5,000, $3,000, or $1,500 if they were one of the top seven online fundraisers.
There was also a friendly competition for additional incentive grants for all participants: --- A $500 incentive grant was awarded to the GHD nonprofit that received donations from the most ND cities. --- The donor who made the single largest donation was given the opportunity to select a GHD nonprofit to receive an additional $500 grant. --- The donor who contributed to the most nonprofits (i.e., one donor gave to 10 GHD nonprofits) was given the opportunity to select a GHD nonprofit to receive an additional $500 grant. --- The GHD nonprofit that received donations from the most donors (not dollar amount but single individual donors) received an additional $500 grant. --- The GHD nonprofit that received donations from the most U.S. states received an additional $500 grant. --- The GHD nonprofit that used the most creative and effective marketing strategy for GHD received an additional $500 grant.
