Since 2005, Dakota Medical Foundation has invested $1.2 million in the Impact Foundation Institute to help nonprofits "do good...better" by building their capacity to serve. DMF's support provides training and technical assistance to dramatically improve the efficiency and effectiveness of health-related nonprofits in our region.
To date:
- 171 nonprofits have completed fundraising training
- 60 nonprofits have received strategic planning consulting services
- 28 executive directors graduated from leadership training in Fargo and Bismarck
in '09-'10 - 2,035 nonprofit leaders, staff, and board have participated in various capacity building training
- More than $2.2 million has been donated online at www.impactgiveback.org since 2007
- 50,500 volunteer hours have been recorded on Impact's website by area volunteers
To expand the reach of the Institute, DMF financially supports the Impact Giveback website. More than 400 nonprofits have registered their snapshot on the website to share their stories, accept online donations, engage volunteers, coordinate conference/event registration, and hold online auctions. Impact GiveBack connects donors of time, talent, and treasure to area nonprofits.
